DR. Linda BELL-ROBINSON

Dr. Linda Bell-Robinson is a name synonymous with excellence and dedication in the realm of law enforcement. With an illustrious career spanning 36 years, she has firmly etched her legacy.


Following her retirement from law enforcement service, Dr. Bell-Robinson now embraces the opportunity to lend her voice to various community issues. She is particularly enthusiastic about her involvement in initiatives like Getting the Vote Out. However, she is equally excited about exploring new directions in life.


One such direction involves expressing herself through writing, which she finds therapeutic and enjoyable. Despite knowing that her writing may not always align with the preferences of editors, Dr. Bell-Robinson is passionate about sharing her thoughts across a diverse range of genres. In this collection, you'll find three pieces that reflect her journey, offering glimpses into her diverse perspectives from spiritual to experiencing life.


Dr. Robinson is a dynamic public speaker. She has spoken for women’s anniversaries at various churches throughout the Houston metroplex. She was a featured speaker at the Ignite/Stream Energy networking convention, and 15,000 people attended the American Airlines Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Robinson has been appointed to several local and state commissions throughout her professional career. In 2003, she was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to serve as a member of the Council on Sex Offender Treatment. In December 2004, she was selected by the Governor to move to the Council on Health and Human Services, where she served as an active member. In addition, Dr. Robinson is a member of various Law Enforcement and Civic Associations. She served on the 182nd District Court Grand Jury, was on the Governor of the Texas Advisory Board for Drug Control, was a former Board Member of the Houston Area Women’s Center, a Leadership Houston graduate, and was selected as a “Savvy Sister” by the Houston Woman Magazine. Dr. Robinson was elected during the 2012 general election as a Trustee of the North Forest Independent School District. 2013, she received the Outstanding Texan award from the Texas Legislative Black Caucus. She served as a 2016 transition team member for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. Dr. Robinson also received the Power of Leadership award from her direct sales company. In March 2018, she was elected Harris County Democratic Precinct 0104 Chairperson, and she also served as a member of the coordinating committee Election/Get the Vote Out for the Texas Poor People’s Campaign, Houston, and Harris County.  January 2024, Dr. Robinson was nominated and voted on by the CD 18 Precinct Chairs to become the chairperson for the 18th Congressional District to work with all precinct chairs but more so to lead them alongside the Honorable Congresswoman Shelia Jacks-Lee and Congressman Sylvester Turner.

Dr. Robinson is the author of five publications, including the A.M.E. Churches of Texas, a published photographic journal of African Methodist Churches in Texas. The book is written as a legacy honoring her (at this writing) 155-year-old home church. In 2020, she authored a chapter entitled “Living life on my own terms” through the P.O.W.E.R. Moms 3.0 project. The book entails the stories of 9 amazing mothers who discovered their ability to fight and win during the challenging moments of their lives.


Dr. Robinson is a native Houstonian and a lifetime member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, where she attends with her 99 year-old mother and other family members. Dr. Robinson is a widow, devoted mother, and grandmother.
